MN Senate Majority Leader Kari Dziedzic says cancer surgery was a success
Minnesota Senate Majority Leader Kari Dziedzic had surgery Monday at the University of Minnesota to remove a cancerous tumor:
The majority leader says the surgery was a success and she’s grateful to her doctors, nurses and all the support staff. Dziedzic says she had an abnormal pap test in late December, underwent a series of additional tests since mid-January and “just very recently” learned she had cancer. Dziedzic says she prefers being on the Senate floor but, like others facing health issues, is following her doctor’s advice and plans to “physically return to the Capitol soon.” Dziedzic is urging everyone to visit their doctor and prioritize preventative care.
