Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Vernon Center Township Crash
A 22-year-old Vernon Center man sustained life-threatening injuries following a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon in Blue Earth County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Alexander Michael Sullivan was traveling north on Highway 169 near 145th Street in Vernon Center Township around 12:45 p.m. when he lost control of his 2000 Yamaha Cruiser and was ejected from the motorcycle. Authorities say Sullivan was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Alcohol was not a factor.
Emergency crews from the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office, Mapleton-Amboy Police, Vernon Center Fire Department, and Lake Crystal Ambulance responded to the scene. Sullivan was transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital for treatment.
