No One Injured In Two Vehicle Crash Sunday in Green Isle
On August 17th, 2025 at 3:57 PM, the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash located on State Highway 5 and McGrann Street in the City of Green Isle. It was learned, Susan Barlage, age 66 of New Prague, was stopped on State Highway 5 with her left turn signal activated to turn east onto McGrann Street in her 2013 Hyundai Accent sedan and Samantha Sherman, age of 19 of Silver Lake, was traveling south on State Highway 5 in her 2007 Toyota Prius when the two collided.
Samantha and Susan were the only occupants in their vehicles. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts with no airbag deployment. Both drivers did not sustain any injuries. Susan’s sedan sustain minor disabling damage while Samantha’s had minor damage. Susan’s vehicle was towed due to disabling damage.
