Pedestrian struck overnight Saturday by vehicle on Madison Avenue
Around 1:30 a.m. this morning, a 47-year-old male pedestrian was struck by a Chevrolet Trailblazer as the vehicle was headed eastbound on Madison Avenue. The driver is a 53-year-old male who was given a sobriety test and was found to be sober.
The collision occurred around the 1000 block of Madison Avenue. The pedestrian is believed to have been in a traffic lane. He was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato and later flown to Rochester with life-endangering injuries.

The Minnesota State Patrol provided assistance at the crash scene.
