Pemberton Man Arrested after High Speed Chase near St. Clair
On Tuesday afternoon a deputy observed a black Nissan Altima traveling over 90mph near St. Clair. The driver fled when the deputy attempted a traffic stop.
The pursuit traveled on multiple county and township roads for about 14 minutes before the driver stopped in the front yard of his residence on the 400 block of 2nd Avenue in Pemberton.
41-year-old John Milton Baer was identified as the driver and only occupant of the Altima. John Baer was initially noncompliant but was arrested with minimal force.
Traffic was minimal throughout the pursuit and top speeds were in the 90mph range. Property damage was limited to breaking the driver’s window of the Altima to facilitate the arrest.
No one was injured and John Baer remains in custody on related charges.
