Public Invited to Mankato East High School’s Planetarium Show – April 23 & 25
Mankato Area Public Schools and the Mankato East High School Planetarium Production Club invite community members to embark on an extraordinary journey through the cosmos this spring. The Planetarium Show will take place on Wednesday, April 23, and Friday, April 25, 2025, at the Mankato East High School Planetarium (Entrance through Door 2, Mankato, MN 56001).
From the comfort of a state-of-the-art indoor dome, attendees will explore the wonders of the night sky above Mankato and beyond. This immersive show will uncover the cosmic connections between the stars of Osiris/Orion and the ancient Egyptian pyramids, offering a fascinating perspective on how these ancient structures may have been designed and aligned.
In addition to celestial history, the show will feature a special look at April’s Lyrid meteor shower—a dazzling springtime display that’s been observed for more than 2,600 years.
Admission is free, but reservations are required due to limited seating.
