Registration Now Open for Mankato Area Youth Choirs
Registration is now open for the Mankato Area Youth Choirs. Entering its 33rd Season, Mankato Area Youth Choirs (MAYC) is a non-auditioned choir open to all students in grades 1-12.
MAYC consists of five choirs that are designated by age. They are the Training Choir (grades 1-2), Intermediate Choir (grade 3), Allegro Choir (grades 4-5), Concert Choir (grades 6-8) and Melodia Choir (grades 9-12). Rehearsals take place on Monday nights at Christ the King Church in Mankato.
MAYC is dedicated to providing opportunities for any interested youth to experience the joy of singing while developing healthy vocal techniques. Through rehearsal and performance, singers will develop artistic expressiveness, self-confidence, a cooperative spirit, and the joy of working toward and achieving goals with other singers.
Families that are interested can learn more and register online at mankatoareayouthchoirs.org. Rehearsals begin Monday, September 14th. Registration will remain open until September 28.
