Rep. Finstad Defends Vote Against Respect For Marriage Act
First District Congressman Brad Finstad defends his vote against the defense of marriage act recently passed by Congress.
“You know I was unhappy with the clarity in the bill or lack of clarity when it came to religious freedoms. For instance, nonprofits, schools, religious schools, private religious schools whether it be Catholic, Lutheran, you name it.”
Finstad said the vote was a political gimmick by the Democrats. He said in Minnesota we already have those protections for gay marriage.
