Rural Amboy Man Dies in Farm Accident Sunday
On Sunday at 4:09 pm Blue Earth County Dispatch received a call that a man was unresponsive under a large agricultural tire at a farm on 100th Street in rural Amboy. Deputies and personnel from the Amboy Fire Department responded.
The victim was identified as 68-year-old Douglas Harold Sanders. It appears that Douglas Sanders was attempting to move a large sprayer tire weighing several hundred pounds inside his machine shed and became pinned between it and a planter.
Douglas Sanders was pronounced deceased at the scene. The incident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office.
