Salvation Army Kettle Kickoff Event – November 2 at Noon

Another big season with another big goal has led The Salvation Army to do another big thing – Kickoff Event at its administrative location, 700 S Riverfront Dr Mankato, MN 56001.

The Salvation Army continues to be a leader in the community when it comes to service of others.  With a banner year regarding service given to those in greatest need, The Salvation Army is doing everything possible to reach its goal this season.  

“The Salvation Army has been meeting needs in this community since 1888,” said Captain Andy Wheeler from The Salvation Army. “We feel deeply privileged to serve those struggling.  We have made some big adjustments to services provided this past year because the need was so great.  We plan to continue reviewing and refreshing our approach to these services.  Meeting our goal will help make sure we are positioned to adjust however the need reveals.”

The Salvation Army has invited community leaders.  Members of the local advisory board have extended invitations to the offices of mayor of Mankato and North Mankato.  Members of the Maverick Machine will perform, Dr. C – from Discover Chiropractic, will emcee the event and Captain Andy will be the keynote speaker.  The event sponsor is Knutson and Casey and the food sponsor is the Greater Mankato Rotary Club along with the Wow!Zone.
