Sibley County Sheriff’s Office Responds to Vehicle Rollover Saturday near Gaylord

On Saturday, March 29th, 2025 at approximately 0323 hours, the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle roll-over crash on CSAH #8 west of 481st Ave. in rural Sibley Township, approximately 5 miles southwest of the City of Gaylord. Gavin Meagher-Thole, age 27 of Sleepy Eye had been travelling westbound on CSAH #8 in a 2014 Chevrolet Impala when he crossed the center line and entered the south road ditch. The vehicle overturned and came to a stop on its roof top. The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the crash scene. Gavin was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Driver fatigue was a factor in the crash. Gaylord Ambulance responded to assist at the scene, but Gavin was not transported from the scene as no injuries were reported.
