Southern Minnesota Farm Data Show April 8 and 9
Farmers, ag industry professionals and anyone interested in agriculture are invited to the Southern Minnesota Farm Data Show taking place April 8 and 9. The event will include a review of the 2024 Farm Business Management Southern Minnesota Annual Report. In addition, Farm Business Management Instructors from South Central College (SCC) will share insights on 2025.
The Farm Business Management Southern Minnesota Annual Report is compiled each year by regional Minnesota State Farm Business Management programs with support from the Minnesota State Southern Agricultural Center of Excellence. The extensive report includes valuable data that provides a comprehensive picture of agriculture in Southern Minnesota.
There are three different location options to attend the show. On Tuesday, April 8, from 1 – 3 p.m., the show will be at South Central College’s North Mankato Campus located at 1920 Lee Boulevard. On Wednesday, April 9, from 1 – 3 p.m., there will be two concurrent shows happening at the Brown County Extension Building (Conference Room) at 200 2nd Avenue SW in Sleepy Eye and at the Sibley County Extension Building at 111 8th Street in Gaylord.
Everyone is invited and registration is not required. Attendees are encouraged to stay for the entire two-hour program and refreshments will be served. More information on the Southern Minnesota Farm Data Show is available at www.southcentral.edu/ag.
South Central College’s Farm Business Management (FBM) program is one of seven college programs throughout Minnesota. The FBM program is designed for those actively engaged in the operation and management of a farm business. The Southern Agricultural Center of Excellence (SACE) co-facilitates, supports, and advocates for FBM, which has over 70 years of history in Minnesota. In 2024, there were 2,223 FBM students and 62 instructors across Minnesota, with 540 of those students served by South Central College’s 12 FBM instructors. The FBM program database is the largest farm financial benchmarking database in the nation.
