Two roosters for Governor Tim Walz during the tenth annual Minnesota Governor’s Pheasant Opener in Worthington.

Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan’s hunting parties harvested a total of six roosters on Saturday.  The governor is already looking forward to the 2023 event:

“We’re proud to announce that Owatonna and Steele County will host our next Governor’s Pheasant Opener.”

Walz says, “I know Owatonna will carry on the tradition of hosting a fantastic opener next year, just as Worthington and Nobles County have done this year.”  The 2023 Governor’s Pheasant Opener is October 13th and 14th.
