The 10th annual Governor’s Pheasant Opener kicks off Friday in Worthington in far southern Minnesota. The DNR’s Dan Ruiter:
“We’ve got a lot of great hunting lands out in Greater Minnesota and a lot of these smaller towns really depend on the hunting dollar. What I mean by that hunters spend money on gas or meals or lodging things like that.”
Hunters will take to the field Saturday at 9 a.m. for the pheasant hunt.
