3 Juveniles in Custody After Vehicle Theft in Le Sueur County Wednesday

Le Sueur County Sheriff Brett Mason reports that on Wednesday July 9, 2025, at approximately 6:20 a.m. Le Sueur County Deputies responded to a report of a one-ton truck pulling a goose neck trailer that had entered the West ditch of Shanaska Creek Road just North of Le Sueur County Road 103.  It was reported that the trailer was blocking both lanes of traffic.  The reporting party advised Law Enforcement that the occupants of the vehicle had fled on foot in the direction of Lake Washington County Park.

While investigating the incident it was discovered that the involved truck and trailer were reported stolen from a nearby residence.  A perimeter was set up around Lake Washington County Park as Law Enforcement searched for the individuals involved.  Ultimately three juvenile males were taken into custody on suspicion of motor vehicle theft.

The investigation is active and ongoing.

Assisting agencies were Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office along with the Minnesota State Patrol.
