Green Isle Woman Struck and Killed by Dump Truck in Sibley County
On July 30th, 2025 at 7:18 A.M., the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash between a straight truck (dump truck) versus a pedestrian located on Minnesota State Highway 5 and McGrann Street in the City of Green Isle.
It was learned, Mary Ott, age 73 of Green Isle, was walking east across MN Highway 5 from 1st Street (which becomes McGrann Street) and Blaine Feil, age 35 of Gaylord, was turning north onto MN Highway 5 from westbound McGrann Street in his 2016 Peterbilt straight truck when the two collided. Mary sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Blaine was uninjured.
The crash is under investigation which will be lead by the MN State Patrol. Assisting Agencies: MN State Patrol and Green Isle Fire Department.
