Area Residents Take Part in “No Kings” Rally
Area residents took to the streets as part of a rally that took place in Mankato on Saturday. The event, held from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM primarily along Warren St. and South Broad St., was part of the ongoing “No Kings” movement, which organized similar demonstrations across the country.
Protesters gathered to express their opposition to what they see as an administration that has “disregarded the separation of powers and prioritized the interests of billionaires over the welfare of ordinary citizens.”
No incidents were reported, and the event remained peaceful throughout, with organizers emphasizing nonviolent action. The rally was co-sponsored by local organizations, including Indivisible St. Peter/Greater Mankato, ACLU MN, and COPAL MN.
