In wake of Colorado mass shooting, Klobuchar renews call for total ban on assault weapon sales

Senator Amy Klobuchar says the horrific mass shooting in Colorado Springs is an example of how laws must not only be better enforced, but also stronger.  Klobuchar says the shooter…

“He shouldn’t be the kind of person that can go out and get an assault weapon.  We’re not sure how he got it, but he just shouldn’t be (getting it) because he already made major threats involving law enforcement in the past.”

Klobuchar is renewing her call for a total ban on sales of assault weapons, regardless of the buyer’s age.
