The City of Mankato is gearing up for another summer of fun and accessibility as the Kato Go Play program returns June 9, offering free bus rides to youth ages 18-years-old and under.

Running through August 15, Kato Go Play provides transportation to popular destinations across Mankato and North Mankato, including parks, schools, libraries, swim facilities, and entertainment spots. Service operates Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

While rides are free for youth (18-years-old and under), adult fares are $2 for a one-way trip or $4 round-trip. A flex pass is also available for $20, good for 11 rides.

Advanced reservations are required for next-day service. Riders should call 311 or 507-387-8600 to schedule trips as early as possible. Cancellations must be made at least one hour in advance.

Kato Go Play stops include local favorites such as Caswell Park, Spring Lake Park Swim Facility, the Children’s Museum, River Hills Mall Theater, and more.
