Le Sueur Man Dies in Two Vehicle Crash in Sharon Township Tuesday
Le Sueur County Sheriff Brett Mason reports that on July 22nd, 2025 at approximately 4:00 p.m. Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a 2005 Toyota Camry and a John Deere Gator side by side at the intersection of Le Sueur County Road 15 and Le Sueur Creek Road in Sharon Township.
Initial investigation indicates the Toyota Camry driven by a 16-year-old female from Le Sueur, MN was Southbound on County Road 15 and the John Deere side by side driven by Allen Gregory Wilmes age 82 of Le Sueur MN was Eastbound on Le Sueur Creek Road. The two vehicles collided causing Wilmes to be ejected from the side by side. Lifesaving efforts were performed but ultimately Wilmes was pronounced deceased on scene. The 16-year-old female sustained no injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
Assisting agencies were Le Center Fire Department, Le Center Ambulance Service, Mayo Air Care and the Minnesota State Patrol.
