MN House Transportation Panel to Hear Prince Memorial Highway Bill
There’s a House Transportation Committee hearing this morning on legislation designating a stretch of Highway 5 in Chanhassen as “Prince Rogers Nelson Memorial Highway.” Most memorial road signs are brown but these ones honoring Prince will be purple. The measure passed the Minnesota Senate Transportation committee last month:
“I support proceeding with the sign in the purple color. I don’t think great damage will be done to transportation or traffic safety…. And I think it would be weird for it to not be purple, quite honestly.”
Senate Transportation Committee Chair Scott Dibble. The House bill is sponsored by Representative Lucy Rehm of Chanhassen.
