No One Injured but Home Destroyed in Saturday House Fire
At 12:03 p.m. Mankato Fire responded to a structure fire at 722 Southhaven Drive. Heavy fire was coming from the rear of the structure when they arrived. The person living in the home was not there at the time and no one was injured in the fire. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire. Damages are estimated at $18,000 and the home is a total loss.
The cause of the fire is being investigated with assistance from Mankato Police and the Minnesota State Fire Marshal.
