North Mankato Fire responds to early morning house fire on Belvista Drive
The North Mankato Fire Department responded to a house fire early Saturday morning, January 24, on Belvista Drive.
The call came in around 4:15 a.m. as a reported chimney fire. When crews arrived, they found an active structure fire in the home.
Firefighters worked to bring the fire under control in below-zero temperatures. Everyone inside was able to get out safely, and no injuries were reported. The family has been displaced, and the home sustained extensive damage.
The North Mankato Fire Department was assisted by firefighters from the Mankato Fire Department. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the MN State Fire Marshal’s Office, the North Mankato Fire Department, and the North Mankato Police Department.
