The Mankato Area Public Schools School Board has approved the 2026 Indoor Air Quality and HVAC Project at Hoover Elementary School.

In November, seventy five bids were received for the project. Following a review of the bids, the district administrative team, in collaboration with Kraus Anderson, the District’s Construction Manager, recommended acceptance of the bids as submitted by multiple contractors.

“These improvements will significantly enhance air quality and system performance at Hoover Elementary,” said Scott Kaminski, MAPS Director of Facilities. “Upgrading HVAC systems and addressing critical building components, including electrical systems, fire suppression, and skylights, helps ensure a healthy and comfortable learning environment for students and staff for many years to come.”

The improvements will enhance indoor air quality and update HVAC systems at Hoover Elementary School, supporting a safe and healthy learning environment for students and staff. A summary of the bids received was presented to the School Board as part of the approval process.
