Serial Killer Harvey Carignan Dies In Minnesota Prison

(Oak Park Heights, MN)  —  A convicted serial killer is dead in Minnesota.  Harvey Carignan, the man known as the Want-Ad Killer, passed away of natural causes at Oak Park Heights prison at 95.  Carignan was found guilty of killing two women nearly 50 years ago.  He was also suspected of more murders and convicted in the 70s in at least five sexual assault and rape cases against women and children as young as 13.  Carignan received his moniker because he lured young women by using job postings in classified ads.
