Two Injured in Mankato Crash

Two Mapleton residents suffered non-life threatening injuries after a crash on Highway 22 and Bassett Drive in Mankato.  According to the State Patrol, a vehicle driven by 83-year-old Perry Conley of Mankato was northbound on Highway 22 and was attempting to turn left onto Bassett Drive from the turn lane.  Another vehicle, driven by 18-year-old Jamison Swalve of Mapleton was traveling southbound on Highway 22 when the two vehicles made contact at the intersection. The third vehicle, driven by 25-year-old Joseph Mathews of Wells was eastbound on Bassett drive, waiting to turn right onto southbound Highway 22 and made contact with the debris from the other two vehicles.  Swalve and his passenger, 42-year-old Andrea Swalve have non-life threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital in Mankato.  All were wearing seatbelts and no alcohol was involved. The crash happened yesterday just after 7 p.m.
