Winnebago Teen Injured in Single Vehicle Crash Wednesday

On May 7th, at approximately 7:52am, the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a single vehicle crash and that the driver was currently at United Hospital District ER. During the investigation of the crash, it was learned the 2007 Blue Audi A4 was driven by Kemper Amundson, age 18 of rural Winnebago.

It was learned that Amundson was East bound on County Road 8 and was approaching County Road 6 at approximately 7:00am. The vehicle proceeded through the T-intersection and struck a double arrow sign. The vehicle then began to roll end for end and coming to a rest on its wheels. Amundson was taken to UHD ER by personal vehicle with possible injuries.

Amundson was not belted and sustained two compression fractures in his back as a result of the crash. The Audi A4 had to be towed from the scene due to the extensive damage.
