The Mankato Area Foundation (MAF) released its annual report, the Philanthropy Review, celebrating another year of impact in local giving.

A total of 701 grants, amounting to $4.2 million, were distributed to nonprofit organizations through MAF during the previous fiscal year, ending June 30, 2025.

“The strength and continued commitment of our local donors is truly incredible,” said Nancy Zallek, President and CEO of MAF. “Even while charitable giving has faced challenges nationally, our local community continues to lead with generosity.”

MAF is committed to strengthening the region through charitable giving and connecting people, ideas, and resources to amplify the work of those making a difference.

“One important area we are focusing on is the effort to reduce food insecurity,” Zallek added. “With increased demand and ongoing uncertainty around federal programs, our donors stepped up to ensure families across our region have access to healthy food and groceries.”
