Blue Earth County Household Hazardous Waste Facility Expands Winter Service Hours
The Blue Earth County Regional Household Hazardous Facility (HHW) is expanding its winter service hours and will no longer be closed in the months of November and March. From November 4th through the end of March, the HHW will be open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from noon to 4 pm. The Product Reuse Center will remain closed during winter operations. Residents may drop off waste during open hours without an appointment.
Items accepted at the facility include hazardous wastes from households in Blue Earth, Nicollet, and Le Sueur counties and farm chemicals from Blue Earth County farmers. Proof of residency must be shown upon arrival. Products should be in their original containers, if possible, with labels attached. Examples of items accepted include paints, stains, household cleaners, automotive products, batteries, and yard/garden chemicals. There is no fee for this service.
