Eagle Lake officials (Mayor Lisa Norton, Councilmember John Whitington, and City Administrator Jennifer Bromeland) spent the day yesterday (2/20) in St. Paul meeting with legislators on behalf of Eagle Lake’s state bond funding request.
EAGLE LAKE — The city of Eagle Lake is asking its residents to consider calling or emailing Eagle Lake’s local legislators, Rep. Luke Frederick and Sen. Nick Frentz this week to urge them to support Eagle Lake’s state bond funding request of $7,077,000 for the construction of a new water treatment facility to provide clean drinking water to residents and address water quality issues, including high levels of manganese.
The city distributed a press release with a message that residents, businesses and organizations can copy into an email message or letter to the legislators:
“I/We support Eagle Lake’s state bond funding request for the construction of a new water treatment facility to provide clean drinking water to residents and address water quality issues, including high levels of manganese.”
