North Mankato Man Charged After High-Speed Pursuit and Cannabis Discovery
A North Mankato man is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after allegedly fleeing police during a high-speed pursuit and leaving behind a vehicle containing improperly packaged cannabis, according to a criminal complaint filed in Blue Earth County. Mario Dionandre Hall, 36, is charged with felony fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, misdemeanor possession of improperly packaged cannabis in a vehicle, and petty misdemeanor speeding.
The incident occurred around 11 p.m. on June 5, when a Mankato police officer attempted to stop a white Chevrolet Impala for speeding—clocked at 51 mph in a 30 mph zone. The vehicle accelerated away and was briefly lost before being found abandoned in an alley. Officers later confirmed the vehicle was registered to Hall, who was identified by a passenger and later admitted in a phone call with police that he had fled due to anxiety. Marijuana shake and over 40 grams of cannabis in sandwich bags were found in the car, along with Hall’s phone.
Hall has prior felony drug convictions from 2011 and 2012, as well as two DWI convictions. If convicted of the current charges, he faces over three years in prison on the felony fleeing charge alone.
