The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the public to attend an open house on Tuesday, June 24, to learn about the Fort Road roundabouts project scheduled for 2026 construction.

The open house will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Lafayette Township Hall – 57738 Fort Road, New Ulm. Representatives from MnDOT will be available to share project details and answer questions. Attendees are welcome to arrive at any time during the open house as there will be no formal presentation.

In 2026, roundabouts will be constructed at two state highway intersections with Nicollet County Road 5 (Fort Road) – Hwy 15/Fort Road in Klossner and Hwy 111/Fort Road north of Nicollet. Funding to construct the two roundabout was awarded from the High Risk Rural Roads program to improve safety at rural highway intersections.
