Bus Driver Transporting Students To Camp Charged With DWI
(Carlton County, MN) — A charter bus driver is facing charges after allegedly driving drunk with 35 students aboard. Authorities say Patrick Bullard is charged with two counts of DWI, along with possessing and drinking from an open bottle. Minnesota State troopers responded Sunday morning to complaints that the bus was driving erratically and performed a traffic stop. Bullard’s blood alcohol was later found to be more than six times the legal limit to drive a bus in the state. The students ranged in age from eleven to 14, and two adult chaperones were also onboard. The group was headed to a camp in northern Minnesota as part of a YMCA group.
