Emily Giddings Named South Central College 2025 Outstanding Alumni Award Recipient
South Central College’s 2025 Outstanding Alumni Award Recipient is Emily Giddings, owner of Giddie Skin Medspa in Mankato.
Giddings enrolled at South Central College when she was just 16 years old, earning her diploma in practical nursing in 2009 and her associate of science degree in professional nursing in 2010. She went on to earn her bachelor of science degree in nursing from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
In 2018, Giddings took a leap of faith and opened Giddie Skin Medspa – turning her vision of empowered, natural beauty into a reality. Two members of her team, the spa’s aesthetician and an injector, are also SCC graduates.
Giddings is the definition of adventurous and curious. Whether she’s hiking mountain trails, strolling the prairie, or lounging on a beach somewhere abroad, she’s always soaking up the world and learning from new cultures. Each fall, she travels to South Dakota to assist with vaccinating buffalo on a family ranch. And when she’s not outdoors or chasing her next travel destination, she’s brushing up on her French, because she believes learning should never stop.
In the treatment room, on a mountain, or in the middle of a prairie among the buffalo, Emily brings heart, hustle, and a deep love for helping others feel their best.
