Mankato Marathon Celebrating National Nonprofit Day

Mankato, Minn. (AUGUST 16, 2022) — The Mankato Marathon presented by Mayo Clinic Health System is celebrating National Nonprofit Day  with a portion of race registrations to benefit the five nonprofits that make up the 2022 Mankato Marathon Charities Program. National Nonprofit Day is held annually on August 17 to recognize the efforts of nonprofits and support local community. The Mankato Marathon Charities Program involves champion runners from the selected nonprofits to raise pledges for their organizations. Runners also have the opportunity to raise additional dollars throughout the year with the option to donate to one or all of the charities when they register for one of the Mankato Marathon weekend events. This year, the Mankato Marathon is giving runners another opportunity to support the 5 local beneficiaries of the charities program with a portion of their race registration benefiting these programs.

What: Runners who register for the Mankato Marathon on August 17, 2022 will have a portion of their registration benefit the Mankato Marathon Charities program; in addition to the existing opportunity to donate to one or all of the charities.

About The 2022 Mankato Marathon:

On October 14-15, Visit Mankato will host the 13th annual Mankato Marathon. This accredited race is a qualifying event for the prestigious Boston Marathon. The event has continually grown to have significant economic impact in the community and already has incredible local sponsorship, with Mayo Clinic Health System leading a long list of area businesses.
