MN Health Officials Respond to CDC Masking Recommendation
The C-D-C is recommending people wear masks at large gatherings to prevent the spread of the flu, R-S-V and COVID during the holidays. Melissa McMahon with the Minnesota Department of Health says:
“You know…we are definitely supportive of that, too. That’s always a choice that people can make. It’s a good extra level of protection against respiratory illnesses. Of course, we recommend all the standard things.”
She says they include flu vaccines, washing hands thoroughly and often, covering your cough or sneeze, and staying home when sick. Minnesota hospitals continue to see high numbers of R-S-V and flu patients.
