Mother Of Daunte Wright’s Son Suing For Part Of GoFundMe Money

(Minneapolis, MN)  —  The mother of Daunte Wright Sr.’s son is suing Wright’s parents for a part of the money raised through GoFundMe.  Chyna Whitaker says she was promised by lawyer Ben Crump that any GoFundMe monies raised would be split between Wright Jr. and the Wright family.  Court documents say none of the more than one million dollars in GoFundMe money Whitaker says is managed by Crump’s firm has been turned over to her.  Whitaker also claims the Wright family used Wright Jr.’s image and existence to raise the money and “turned their backs” on her and her child.  Crump’s law firm told KARE 11 that they never “handled or controlled” any of the money from the GoFundMe and that the issue is a family dispute.
